Retail and ticketing sites compare the IP's location to the shipping address, the billing country and the browser's timezone. A mobile IP from a US metro supplies a coherent answer: a carrier network, a real city, and a timezone Octo derives from the same address.

Step-by-step proxy setup in Octo Browser
Start in your TigerProxies dashboard. Each proxy shows host, HTTP port, SOCKS5 port, username, password and a rotation link. Add every proxy to Octo's saved proxy list, naming entries by metro and purpose, such as Miami checkout or Chicago monitor.
Create a profile, open the proxy section of the profile settings, and either pick a saved proxy or enter one directly. Use HTTP for standard shopping sessions or SOCKS5 when the site relies on UDP features or you want DNS inside the tunnel. Paste host, the matching port, username and password, then run the check. Sticky for checkout, rotating for monitoring
A checkout is a single conversation between a shopper and a store: browse, add to cart, pay, confirm. If the IP changes in the middle, fraud systems see a cart that moved networks and may cancel the order. Run every checkout profile on a sticky session and do not touch the rotation link until the confirmation page loads.
Drops are the same conversation compressed into a short window. Warm the profile beforehand on its sticky proxy, keep it open, and leave the IP alone through the release. Price monitoring is the opposite job. You want each request to look like a different shopper, so use per-request rotation on a dedicated monitoring proxy. Keep monitoring proxies separate from checkout proxies so scraping activity never shares an IP with an account you plan to buy from.

Troubleshooting checkout and drop problems
A failed proxy check is usually a port and protocol mismatch; HTTP and SOCKS5 have different ports on the same host. Recheck the pair and remove stray whitespace from the credentials.
If a store flags a location mismatch, compare the profile's timezone with the proxy metro. Manual timezone values left over from an older proxy are the common cause; set them back to automatic. If the store sees a different IP than the proxy, review WebRTC in the profile and choose SOCKS5 so DNS also exits through the mobile link.
An order that cancels after payment often traces back to a rotation fired during checkout. Audit any scheduled rotation and exclude proxies attached to checkout profiles. For drops, stop monitoring scripts on the same machine from calling rotation links during the release window.

Either completes a checkout. HTTP is the simplest. SOCKS5 carries UDP and keeps DNS inside the tunnel, which gives the store a fully consistent view of the session. Both use the same username and password with different ports.
How do I prepare an Octo profile for a sneaker or ticket drop?
Attach a sticky proxy in the metro that matches the shipping address, warm the profile with some normal browsing on the store, and keep it open through the release. Do not rotate the IP until the order is confirmed. Rotate afterwards to start fresh for the next drop.
Can I use the same proxy for price monitoring and checkout?
We recommend against it. Monitoring generates many requests that a store may treat as automated, and you do not want that history attached to the IP your checkout uses. Keep a per-request rotating proxy for monitoring and a sticky proxy for buying.
